30 abandoned places that look beautiful

My friend sent me a link for this site and the pictures really are off the charts. It’s about abandoned places. Have a look for yourself.

Some funny Candian road signs

Yet again my mum has provided me with some content for this blog on a quiet Monday morning. The states is full of the Boston terrorists story but there isn’t much going on here so I thought I’d throw these up. Very amusing, well done mum.

A view from the top of the world

Well from the fourth highest skyscraper in the world anyway. And for those of you that are not in the know, that’s the International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong, which is where I was today. It’s actually in Kowloon which is across the harbour from Hong Kong island. Here are some stats for the interested: [...]

Serviceteam move office and receive cupcakes as a reward..

Thanks for the cupcakes! 12 lovely cupcakes arrived to the office this morning as a moving in present. I wonder who they were from? And don’t they know that there are more than 12 of us! We’ve had to play favourites, now….

A photograph of Stone Henge on a sunny day

I took a ride from Cirencester to Bournemouth last week and it was great. Well, the Cotswolds was anyway. After Salisbury the landscape is pretty uninspiring stuff to be honest. Anyway, as I hadn’t visited Stone Henge before I thought it would be worth having a look. And it was. But at £7.50 to get [...]

New offices on Sherwood Street W1

Sherwoord Street office W1 I’ve been walking past this building site for a year or so I think. It looks almost finished. It’s ceratinly a big old building and it’s in a great location. I can’t seem to find much information on it. It’s probably just general office space and not built for any company [...]

Pictures of the River Thames

Some more pictures of my ride down the Thames the other morning. We haven’t had any decent weather since. Last night there was a monsoon! Where has the sun gone – again!

A lovely ride along the Southbank in London

It was a nice sunny morning yesterday and so I decided to ride a little further down the Southbank. I got some nice photographs of the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye and then I rode on into the West End through Piccadilly. When the sun is shining it really is quite beautiful in London.

Photos of the Thames river in London

A very nice morning for a bike ride. I took a couple of shots on my iphone as I cycled along the Southbank. They haven’t come out too well though. I’ll get some nice ones of the city tomorrow, I think.

Felicity Jackson fired from the apprentice – yep good

It was a bitch fest last night. Felicity quite rightly got fired. She was high handed and arrogant with the people from the spray tan company and that cost her dearly, mostly because she decided to buy those hair fringes! What was going on there? Although, I think Natasha ‘Where’s the strategy?’ Scribbins has been [...]

Boris Johnson makes appearance on Golden Square, Soho

We get all the stars here. Right at the back of our office, Boris Johnson, the Lord Mayor of London himself makes an appearance. I think it’s something about nikes and Absolute radio with hristian O’Connell. I didn’t go but some of the others in the office joined the thronging crowds to greet the mayor. [...]

Cycling from London to Brighton

We cycled form London to Brighton on Saturday. A lovely 50 mile ride and we were very lucky with the weather. It held out all day. Started a 7am and we were in easily for 12:30 with some nice stops and photos on the way. Ditchling hill or Ditchling Beacon – is it as bad a [...]

Royal wedding window display from Fat Face – very clever

This is a picture of the Fat Face window display on the Northcote Road in Battersea aka ‘Between the Commons’. You can see the Co-op reflected in the window! I think it’s great. It’s a Union Jack made out of red, white and blue rugby shirts. I’ve never really shopped in Fat Face before and [...]

Buzzboard – I wonder if it works

I came across one of these Buzzboards in a newsagents window the other day. It certainly caught my attention. Well, the board itself did, I can’t remeber any of the adverts… I might give them a go for Serviceteam. They might raise awareness. On the other hand it may just be that I’m a nosy [...]

Battersea Reach – the ugliest development in London?

I rode past Battersea Reach which is just by Wandsworth Bridge in Battersea earlier this week. It’s built by St. George PLC. They have been building it for years now and it’s always looked like a construction site. I know someone who lives in there are the view out of the apartments in there are nice. [...]

109 miles to go to John O’ Groats

As you can see just 109 miles to go. This will be a great achievement from the Brown brothers. Yesterday was a tough ride up a mountain by all accounts. You’re nearly there boys, keep up the good work!

Royal Wedding Street Party – how was yours?

What a great wedding and a great day to be in London. I think that’s cheered everyone up. I had a great day and a lovely street party. It may be a long time before there’s another – or will there? Everyone is talking about Prince Harry and Pip Middleton, but I think this is [...]

London’s preparations for the Royal Wedding

London’s preparing for the Royal Wedding. I rode past and took some snaps of the Union flags are out on Whitehall, Parliament Square and Big Ben. Lovely blue sky yesterday on the ride home. I hope it stays the same for the wedding on Friday. Showers have been forecast. I can’t believe they haven’t seeded [...]

A visit to Ledbury in Herefordshire

Spent the weekend in Ledbury. A very nice little market town. Lovely weather. Definitely worth a visit for the weekend, the scenery is fantastic. Below is a picture of the market house. It’s a pretty prominent feature in the centre of Ledbury. It was built in 1653 by the celebrated “King’s Carpenter” – John Abel. [...]

The Gherkin – the greatest skyscraper in London

I think of all the new buildings in London, this is the best. We’ll see how it compares to all the new ones going up. I think it will be hard to beat.

The shard – still some way to go

Rode past London Bridge the other day and took a picture of the Shard. Some way to go, but I think this is going to be a landmark building. When it’s finsihed it’s going to be 1,017 ft (310 m) tall and have 72 floors.

Thames Clipper at Greenwich

Spoiled with the weather in the UK again. This is a picture of a Thames Clipper coming into dock at Greenwich.

2 new recruits to Serviceteam marketing team

Look at these two beauties. They really are working for peanuts! I believe they are Australian Ringnecks – wild parrots! Cheeky devils too. No fear – much like the Australians! They just appeared yesterday as I was working, so I gave them a snack – and they’ve come back again today!

How’s your luck!

Before I left I put up a picture from Google images of Sydney harbour. Lovely shot from a nice part of town. As luck would have it, I’m staying right around the corner! Lovely.

Hong Kong – even busier than London!

Keeping the dream alive. 2 days so far in Hong Kong and we’ve done a lot. From visiting the Peak on Hong Kong Island to Temple Street Market in Kowloon. And another day to go here. And I’m just warming up for the photo competition…

The world’s coolest fridge – no pun intended.

Awesome bit of kit. Not available to buy yet, I believe. And yes. If it has a plug or connects to the mains, we’ll install it when they come onto the market…

It’s bleak out there

I expect that the capital will be on it’s knees today with 1/2 inch of snow that’s settling…. Makes everywhere look nice though.

Lightning in Venezuela

It’s just a shame it’s not happening anymore! http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/gallery/2010/mar/02/venezuela-venezuela#/?picture=359938259&index=2

A beautiful picture of a storm

Some great pictures on this blog: Photos you remember

Another great picture

Nope, it hasn’t come in for the Serviceteam art competition. Just found this and thought it looked great.

Stolen from that famous photo catalogue…

The price of these photo catalogues is outrageous. Even Nintendo has started pinching their graphics!

Great photo

Mahó Beach, St. Maarten in the Dutch Antilles. Awesome. A great site: http://bit.ly/9Bb5ju
