Some more pictures of my ride down the Thames the other morning. We haven’t had any decent weather since. Last night there was a monsoon! Where has the sun gone – again!

It was a nice sunny morning yesterday and so I decided to ride a little further down the Southbank. I got some nice photographs of the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye and then I rode on into the West End through Piccadilly. When the sun is shining it really is quite beautiful in London.

A very nice morning for a bike ride. I took a couple of shots on my iphone as I cycled along the Southbank. They haven’t come out too well though. I’ll get some nice ones of the city tomorrow, I think.

It was a bitch fest last night. Felicity quite rightly got fired. She was high handed and arrogant with the people from the spray tan company and that cost her dearly, mostly because she decided to buy those hair fringes! What was going on there? We get all the stars here. Right at the back of our office, Boris Johnson, the Lord Mayor of London himself makes an appearance. I rode past Battersea Reach which is just by Wandsworth Bridge in Battersea earlier this week. It’s built by St. George PLC. They have been building it for years now and it’s always looked like a construction site. London’s preparing for the Royal Wedding. I rode past and took some snaps of the Union flags are out on Whitehall, Parliament Square and Big Ben. Lovely blue sky yesterday on the ride home. Spent the weekend in Ledbury. A very nice little market town. Lovely weather. Definitely worth a visit for the weekend, the scenery is fantastic. Below is a picture of the market house. It’s a pretty prominent feature in the centre of Ledbury. It was built in 1653 by the celebrated “King’s Carpenter” – John Abel. [...]

I think of all the new buildings in London, this is the best. We’ll see how it compares to all the new ones going up. I think it will be hard to beat.

Rode past London Bridge the other day and took a picture of the Shard. Some way to go, but I think this is going to be a landmark building. When it’s finsihed it’s going to be 1,017 ft (310 m) tall and have 72 floors.

Spoiled with the weather in the UK again. This is a picture of a Thames Clipper coming into dock at Greenwich.

Look at these two beauties. They really are working for peanuts! I believe they are Australian Ringnecks – wild parrots! Cheeky devils too. No fear – much like the Australians! They just appeared yesterday as I was working, so I gave them a snack – and they’ve come back again today!

Before I left I put up a picture from Google images of Sydney harbour. Lovely shot from a nice part of town. As luck would have it, I’m staying right around the corner! Lovely.

Keeping the dream alive. 2 days so far in Hong Kong and we’ve done a lot. From visiting the Peak on Hong Kong Island to Temple Street Market in Kowloon. And another day to go here. And I’m just warming up for the photo competition…

Awesome bit of kit. Not available to buy yet, I believe. And yes. If it has a plug or connects to the mains, we’ll install it when they come onto the market…

I expect that the capital will be on it’s knees today with 1/2 inch of snow that’s settling…. Makes everywhere look nice though.
