Searching for small business funding in the UK
Well, for once I’m going to write about something to do with Serviceteam. Something that might be quite useful to someone for a change! Let’s put a little background out there about our company for framing purposes. We’ve been trading since November 2009 and have 3 years of accounts. We are a profitable company. We [...]

The Sun news paper warns Kirshner over Falklands
The Sun newspaper has taken upon itself to speak for the British people and Government by taking out a full page advert in an English language newspaper called ‘The Buenos Aires Herald’. It warns the Argentinian President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to keep her “hands off” the Falklands. Luckily, the paper only has a circulation [...]

What has happened to Google?
You know the last few weeks have been crazy on Google. I started noticing it maybe two months ago. Some of the sites I used to frequent by typing certain words into Google just weren’t there. I eventually found them in Bing of all places! Recently I’ve noticed that I have to do more than [...]

British Gas blunder on leaflets
Rarely, in fact never, do I post anything about work on this blog. I have to make it interesting enough for me to write every day! And talking about boilers just doesn’t do it for me on a regular basis. But I think I must be doing something of interest to someone because nearly 1000 [...]

The London 2012 Olympics so far…
So far better than I thought. Everyone I have spoken to is obsessed with the games. The opening ceremony was simply fanasttic, something really special I thought. Danny Boyle did a great job and despite some whinging from Daily Mail right wingers about the NHS segment, everyone was impressed. Most people are watching pretty much [...]

Ed’s diner in Euston – not for the breakfast…
I came into Euston this morning and decided that I would have a cooked breakfast to celebrate being back in London. There isn’t a massive choice for breakfasts in Euston and so I decided to see what Ed’s diner had to offer. I’ve been in before for a burger, which I remember OK/Quite Good. The [...]

When fake tan goes wrong – in pictures
It’s not often I end up reading the Daily Mail or the Völkischer Beobachter as it’s also known but this made me laugh – a lot! Have a look at these… and they come from this website, Pale is the new tan. Worth a look I think. There are a lot of pictures of fake [...]

Happy 29th birthday to Tom
It’s Tom’s 29th birthday today. The office has had a whip round and got him a new Aston Villa top. As ALex has pointed out he would probably be Villa’s best player. Tom wins the best pumpkin for Halloween prize
A good effort from Tom – his pumpkin is on the left. But a close win because Rob’s pumpkin was pretty good and it was done without using a template – so freestyling but their both good. And so the £20 cash prize is awarded to Tom. More photos on Serviceteam Flickr

Steve Jobs dies at 56. What a damned shame.
Such a shock to hear about Steve Jobs this morning. He didn’t look well but I really didn’t think there was any imminent danger of him dying, but it seems he was a very private man. He’ll be missed.

Pictures of the aftermath of the riots in Clapham Junction
I rode past Clapham Junction this morning to see what has happened to it following last nights ‘disturbances’. Seems I wasn’t the only one! There were hundreds of rubberneckers taking pictures. British Telecom – the worst run company in the UK
We’ve had the unfortunate business of having to deal with British Telecom over the last few weeks because we’ve moved office. Yet another case of Police stupidity – 2 dogs left in a car to die

Having thought about it I think Vote yes to the Alternative Vote
Here’s why: All MPs would have the support of a majority of their voters. Following the 2010 election 2/3 of MPs lacked majority support, the highest figure in British political history. It retains the same constituencies, meaning no need to redraw boundaries, and no overt erosion of the constituency-MP link. It penalises extremist parties, who [...]
